Mini Print Residency 2019
Featuring : Amy Redmond, Amada Press
October 19, 2019

Amada Press is the private letterpress studio of Seattle visual designer, artist & instructor Amy Redmond. The main focus of her artwork is on handset typography using metal and wood type. Amy also worked with Stern & Faye Printers for many years, being mentored in the letterpress craft by both Jules and Chris, and now carries on in the tradition of their printing lineage. Her studio is home to cabinets full of type and two presses from the Stern & Faye Print Farm. Amy teaches at the School of Visual Concepts, participates in community print exhibits and exchanges, and was recently featured in the Print / Maker book. We’re excited to see what Amy makes in the short time she’ll be at the C.C. Stern Type Foundry! Drop by on October 19th to say hello. With any luck we’ll have a sampling of her prints available for sale, so you can start stocking up for those special gift giving opportunities (yes, it counts to give yourself a gift, too).
